For over two decades, Pamela Walsh OBE served as the heart and soul of Friends of India, leading the organization with passion and dedication. Under her leadership, the charity raised an outstanding amount of over 5 million Swiss francs, funding countless initiatives aimed at improving education, healthcare, and opportunities for women and girls in some of the most underprivileged regions of India. Pam's remarkable efforts have left an enduring legacy, transforming the lives of thousands and positioning Friends of India as a force for change.

Now, as Friends of India turns the page to a new chapter, we are excited to introduce Vanessa Smith as the new president. With a deep personal connection to India, having lived and worked there, Vanessa brings a wealth of experience and energy to the organization. As the founder and CEO of a thriving business, Mountain Weddings, Vanessa is passionate about empowering women and girls through education and access to opportunities. Her innovative vision, leadership skills, and global network ensure that Friends of India will continue to grow and make a lasting impact.
